FAQs

Are Principal laundry cabinets Australian-made?

Yes. Cabinets are manufactured in Australia from moisture-resistant particleboard with impact-resistant edging, and built to the AS 4707 cabinetry standard.

What hardware is included?

Every cabinet arrives with soft-close hinges, adjustable legs, screws and dowels. Drawers run on soft-close Häfele runners. There is nothing extra to buy to assemble them.

Will the cabinets cope with a damp laundry?

They are made from 16mm moisture-resistant particleboard with impact-resistant edging, the same board we use in our kitchen cabinetry. Plumbing and waterproofing still need a licensed trade.

Can I assemble a flatpack laundry myself?

Yes, if you are comfortable with a drill and spirit level. Cabinets arrive pre-drilled with every fitting in the box. Benchtop cutting, plumbing and electrical are best left to trades.

Can you install my laundry?

We refer you to local installers we have worked with for years in southern Sydney, and you deal with them directly for their quote. Plumbing and electrical must be done by licensed trades in NSW.

What warranty do I get?

A 10-year guarantee on cabinets and doors, plus manufacturer warranties on Häfele sinks, tapware and fittings.

How long does delivery take?

Typically a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how complex your laundry is. We deliver anywhere in Sydney, or you can collect from the Peakhurst store, and we give you an expected date when you order.

What finishes can I choose?

Doors and drawer fronts come in melamine, UV, acrylic and 2-pac painted finishes, with Ultra Matt, Ravine, Woodmatt and handleless JPull ranges available to order. Benchtops come in laminate at 21mm, 33mm or 40mm, or 20mm Mirostone.
